Sunrise Bank opens its 5th Branch today in Tinkune of Kathmandu
Sunrise Bank Limited has opened its 5th Branch in Tinkune of Kathmandu on Wednesday June 4th, 2008. The Branch was inaugurated by Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Bir Bikram Rayamajhi. The Bank, in addition to Main Branch in Kathmandu, has already established Branches outside Kathmandu in Dharan, Besisahar and Damauli.
The Bank is in the course of providing modern banking services to all levels of society primarily in the rural areas, and likewise Branches within the capital are also being expanded, says Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Mr. Kishore Maharjan. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Maharjan further added that it is crucial for Banks’ that emphasize on development of New Nepal through domestic capital to expand their network across the nation. Tinkune Branch will also provide banking facilities and services such as Sunrise Bal Bachat Kosh, Sunrise Normal Savings Account, Sunrise Ghar Karja, Sunrise SME Loan, Sunrise Educational Institute Loan, and others, which are provided in Main Branch of nation’s capital. The Branch will also provide evening Banking services till 8 PM. The Bank has targeted to establish around 10 Branches by end of Ashwin, 2065.
Sunrise Bank has so far collected Rs. 3.73 Billion as Deposits, granted over Rs. 3.0 Billion as Loans and made Investment of approximately Rs. 1.30 Billion. Sunrise Bank Limited, which began its business transactions from Gairidhara of the capital, has within a short span succeeded in creating a unique identity amid its customers. The Bank came into operation with effect from Ashwin 25, 2064 as the 23rd Commercial Bank of the nation.
