In the course of extending services to the customers in simple and convenient manner, Sunrise Bank Limited has launched its new product – “Suryodaya Remit.”
For convenience of Nepalese people working abroad, their earnings can be sent to their relatives through online remittance service provided by the bank (www.suryodayaremit.com). In order to maintain confidentiality, the Bank provides secret number to the users, which ensures that money is received by the intended person only.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Sunrise Bank Mr. Kishore Maharjan, “The global financial crisis has not affected the remittance service in Nepal. There is increase in flow of people going abroad for work, which is expected to increase the number of remittance service users; thus we have started Suryodaya Remit.”
Bank has assigned KRS Solutions as its authorized agent, which has network of more than 250 outlets nationwide. Along with Suryodaya Remit, the customers can avail various facilities and benefits such as Free ATM, Accidental Death Insurance.
The Bank was established on 25th of Ashwin 2064, and till date, 12 branches are in operation. As of Poush end 2065; it has been able to generate a total deposit of Rs. 8.64 Billion with a total loan amount of Rs. 8.78 Billion. The Bank will be extending its branches within the valley (Pharping, Chabahil) and outside the valley (Birgunj) in the near future. The bank is determined to be one of the dominant players in the market within 2012 B.S.
