Sunrise Bank Limited has commenced SMS and Internet Banking facilities. The Bank announced that Customers acquiring SMS Banking facility will be able to check available Balance as well as Statement on last five transactions.

Further, the customers availing Internet Banking Service will be entitled not only to receive information on their transactions, but also to request Cheque Book and Account Statement. “Fund Transfer” facility is also available upon request.

“It is our belief that these two new facilities provided by the Bank will enable our valued customers to enjoy modern-day banking services sans physical presence in the Bank. Moreover, Internet Banking facility provides opportunity for customers living abroad to transfer funds from one account to another,” said Chief Executive Officer of Sunrise Bank Limited, Mr. Kishore Maharjan.

Currently, Sunrise Bank Limited has decided to offer 6.5% interest Rates on its Normal Savings Account which is higher than the national Inflation rate. This is the highest rate of interest provided by the Nepalese Commercial Banks.
The Bank which was established about 5 months back has mobilized more than Rupees 2.5 billion in deposits and disbursed Rupees 2 billion as loan.
